i know, the school was near the atomic power plant; whenever the reactor cooling system needed to dump some hot (in both ways) water, it flooded snow-covered potato field near the school and so it melted and then went downhill, freezing on its way and thus creating some uphill scenery near your asbestos-covered house.
walking (barefoot) through all this really hurts.
p.s. i have noticed the following new property of livejournal engine: whenever i unfreeze my laptop and re-minimize browser window with livejournal, then click on `friends' link, i get `invalid cookies, try logging out and logging in' again. Then, once i log out, i get new light-blue theme (i have dark-blue, classic, with russian), in ukrainian (which is most preferred language in my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; uk-UA; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425); after that, i log in again (using stored password), click on friends, get same error...
the only reliable way out of this is to log out, log in, read comments on at least one entry in avva's journal, then click on friends again.
i know i have wrong platform and browser, but this is corporate laptop with wifi card and long battery life and i don't want to invest my time into this.
I actually see the same problem from Linux version of Mozilla i run on my FreeBSD box.
