Mysterious part number
If anyone was wondering, what is the part number for the PCB-mounted 4-pin connector that matches with the floppy power supply cable (usually unused in the modern computers, and therefore useful for various devices), spent hours googling (that gives many contradictory results) and checking the digikey catalog (where they aren't), here it is:

AMP 171825-4

Cosmic Elephants

Behold the strange gray thing! The annoying doofus of doom and the one that always gets bent because the giraffe can't reach the ostepath in time.

The part doesn't look familiar to me, but I was going to suggest (though you may have already tried it) checking with Mouser Electronics, because sometimes they have stuff that Digikey doesn't.

They don't have it either -- even though they have AMP 171826-4, a right angle version of that connector (that happens to be unusable for my purposes, but may be good for devices with large boards that sit in place of the floppy drive).

As you can see from the photo, I have found them anyway -- Tyco/AMP lists some distributors on their web site, so once I have found the part number, it was easy.
